Hello all and welcome back to Impulsive Artistry. Today, I am sharing a painting challenge with all: creating a complete acrylic landscape painting in 15 minutes or less!

Not an easy task to accomplish, but one that requires you to work quickly, to not overthink the process, or get too caught up in the details. The goal is this painting challenge is to enable you to create more impressionistic looking paintings easily, without getting bogged down with trying to make everything look perfect. By attempting to finish a painting in only 15 minutes, you have no time do so, which will allow to concentrate on basic shapes, colors and textures over minutia.

Not to worry, even if you don’t finish this painting in under 15 minutes try to complete it as fast as you can. This painting is so easy that even kids could paint it!

What you need to paint this piece:

Rectangular Canvas – I used a 16x20 Inch Canvas.
Large Bright Brush
Large Filbert Brush
2 Inch Chip Brush
An Easel or flat surface
Drop Cloth or Old Blanket (in case of spills)
Water Cup
Paper Towel

Acrylic Paint (only 4 colors!):
Mars Black, Titanium White, Cobalt Blue and Cadmium Yellow Medium
