Painting a complete painting in under fifteen minutes is a
fun challenge for any artist. Today’s post features an abstracted landscape, an
impressionistic sunset painting that I finished in only 12 minutes (you can
watch me paint it below!). To create this work, I used only five colors and my
large three-inch brush! Instead of painting on a canvas, I utilized a canvas
board, 14x18 inches. This is a great alternative if you are a beginning artist,
because not only is it more cost effective, but also it is easier to frame.
However, canvas boards can become a little warped at larger sizes, so do be sure
to check to see if they are bending at all when you purchase them. I have found
that the 8x10 inch size is more reliable in that regard.
