Exploring the Elizabethan Gardens, Manteo, NC.

Hello Everyone,

Welcome back to Impulsive Artistry. Today, I am sharing with you the last photo set from my trip to the Outer Banks, NC (Day 4), focusing on one of the several stops that we made on the way home to Raleigh from Cape Hatteras: The Stunning Elizabethan Gardens!

These gardens where created in the 1500s colonial style, and aesthetic with which the first English settlers in the New World would have been familiar. The Elizabethan Gardens are near the remains of the original Fort Raleigh, and you can still see the earth works that made the foundation of the fort.    

As a side note, I did take some lovely sunrise photos on the morning of Day 4; my wife and I also stopped at both the Bodie Lighthouse as well as the hill where the Wright Brothers first conquered the air!
